Supporting Our Community Since 1953
For 71 years talented amateurs from Pekin and the surrounding area have given their time and talent to entertaining people in our community by presenting a musical variety show. The proceeds from our performances support the arts and other non-profits. We are proud to have given monetary support of over $260,000 to these local organizations. Our chorus is comprised of 60-80 adults of all ages who enjoy singing and dancing to appreciative audiences that typically number around 2000 for our 4 performances.

The Pekin Civic Chorus production is well underway! The music is selected, sorted and ready to go! All we need is YOU!!
Auditions for Showtime 2026 are scheduled for January 4, 2026 from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM at Grace Methodist Church, 601 N. 4th St. If you’ve never performed with Pekin Civic Chorus, give us a try – come and audition! No prepared pieces are needed – just show up! Show dates will be posted soon.
Pekin Civic Chorus has been performing since 1953 and celebrated our 71st birthday this year. We’ve been singing and entertaining the Pekin Community and have given back monetarily over $260,000 to various non-profit organizations , especially our local schools in support of the Arts. Come see us! Come support us! Come and enjoy great evenings of music at the F.M. Peterson Theater under the direction of Dr. James Rimington. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!
