Pekin Civic Chorus honored Norma Yock, a founding member and singer of Pekin Civic chorus in 1953, by establishing the Norma I. Yock Scholarship. The scholarship is given annually to a senior P.C.H.S. student who is planning to major in music in college and pursue a career in music. The first recipient was given a $1000 scholarship in 1988. Pekin Civic Chorus has given over $54,000 to the scholarship fund since 1987.
