Civic Chorus is excited to announce that George Beres, one of the founding fathers of Pekin Civic Chorus in 1953, was recently presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award. Alumni Awards are given yearly to past graduates of PCHS who have had great achievements in their lives and/or careers.
George R. Beres has been an icon in the Pekin area where he has lived his whole life. He also has been a board member, treasurer, and performed as a choir member and soloist for every Pekin Civic Chorus show since 1953 on a PCHS stage.
